Quick tip on wiping bottoms.
So I have four kids, I am an expert in this area. But this trick I learned from Susan Kennedy.
So this is one of Susan's work. She is the ceramics professor at McLennan county community college. I took several classes with her and she is amazing. And I just want to show you that crisp line on the bottom here. I'll show it on this one real quick. Look at that. It's hard to beat that you can't get that anywhere else.
So that kind of Christmas with wax never seen anything like it. So I want to show you how we do it.
First thing you do is you dip your pot. I have are done the specific gravity for this One. Got my pot dipped. Okay. And dripping it on out here. Okay. Got it. Now I got one that's already done. Now. Here's all that it is right here is, oh, let me show you what this is. So this is fabric. This is not fabric. This is high density foam, half inch from Joann's fabric. And Susan showed me this trick.
All you do is it's wet. I just got it wet down there. And you just kind of wipe the bottoms off. Take a look. Okay. There's a little bit more on there. I have some intense grooves down here. So I'm going to do just a little bit of extra. Usually. I wouldn't need to do that, but you see, I made this with a bunch of spirals in there, but you want to make sure your hands are dry when you're touching that side of the pot.
And then you have the nicest, The most crisp, clear line. Now, look at that beauty right there. It's not going to stick to your killing shelf. Thing of beauty. Thank you, Susan Kennedy.
You're awesome. And that is your tip of the day for wiping the bottoms of pot. This is the fastest way to get it done. I've done waxing. I've done wiping right? When it comes out, this is the best way in my opinion. So I hope you enjoy.
